Is this a small world or what? I am not surprised that several members are from New York or different parts of Cali, but three guys from Halifax. And on a fairly small site (compared to Rennlist, MB World, etc.).
Kind of cool!

that set was purchased from tire rack, the wheels are the Sport Edition A7, it came mounted and everything, all I had to do was slap them on the car. Blizzaks are great man, I highly recommend tire rack for your winter setup..
Oktire has a website for sure but they have local shops in Halifax and Windsor, NS. I deal with the guys in Windsor since they're a little closer to me and they are pretty good at getting prices close to those found online with the advantage and dealing with someone local. However, Tirerack is fantastic and good source for tires if you can't find something reasonably priced locally.
Also, don't forget 1010tires.com since they have free courier shipping in Canada for us Canucks.

This is the winter setup that I have. I'm not sure who the rims are by, because I bought the winter wheel/tire package from the dealership when I bought the car. They did have to remove the bolts in the calipers that prevent you from putting the wrong wheels on either the front or back (I forgot which way it was), and they are still a close fit to the calipers.
The tires are Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme 245/45 R18. They are great tires in the snow and on dry winter roads and the grip is awesome- I am very happy. When they wear out, I will replace them with the same tires.
Please ignore my dirty car- just a pic showing how they look on the car. (Its been snowing here for a few days.)

Thanks!
Just got back in- about 5 inches on the ground now- car handled like a champ!
(I wish my car had headlamp washers- Xenon headlamps don't get hot enough to melt the build up of snow off of the lenses- hard to see when they are covered in snow- oh well.)

If you get a second set and switch the wheels and tires yourself in the fall/spring, you will still need to go to the dealership so they can re-initialize the tpms system and match the current set of tpms to the car.
