G37X - Upgraded Wheel Option

Hey Everyone... I am thinking of buying an 09 G37X in the next month or so. I previously had a G35 coupe and loved the car, so now that I'm back in the market for another car returning to an even better G37 coupe is a no- brainer. I am not a fan of the stock wheels that the "X" comes with and I think I want to upgrade them to the 18' 7 spoke wheels, which are a $1,650 dollar option on the Infiniti website. However, I can not find a picture of these rims anywhere... Can somebody please help me out and post some pics of the G37 with this upgraded wheel option? I really appreciate it & look forward to being a G owner in the near future!

I could not find the 7-spoke, 18-inch rims you referenced. However, if it's any consolation, I found decent looking 9-spoke, 18-inch rims on the Infiniti web site that cost $380 each ($1,520 for the set). Here is the link. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way. I have the X and have Vossen Staggard wheels.
9" in the front, 10.5" in the back. No issues at all.
I doesn't matter how wide the tire is as long as the front and rear tires/rims are the same diameter.
Don't be afraid to go staggard with the X.

Then why didn't Nissan offer staggered on their X? Wider wheels are heavier and require more torque to get them moving

My 20" Vossens and Nitto tires are lighter than the 18" stock rims and tires.
I can't speak for Infiniti, only the fact that I drive over 100 miles a day on staggered and have had absolutely no issues.
I stand by my initial statement. It is not the width of the tire, it is equal diameter that matters. Enough Said...

What are the specs of your tires? Also do you have any pics?

Yea, bump for tires specs. I'm kicking around the idea of getting the OEM RWD S 19" Wheels (staggered) and according to the tire calculator at miata.net, the following tires
225/45/19 FRONT
245/40/19 REAR
will produce the following diameters and circumferences, respectively-
27.0" dia 84.7" circum FRONT
26.7" dia 83.9" circum REAR

The change between front/rear is well under (~1%) the 5% threshold for the AWD to kick in. Differences in tire tread wear probably contribute more than 1% change between front/rear wheel diameters. This being said, I don't see why this particular staggered setup can't be run on AWD. Anyone?

we had 20x8.5" wheels on a G37x coupe in the showroom that sold w/ 245/35/20 tires... it definitely needs a nice drop.

camer25 here on the forums has a G37x coupe from me w/ non-staggered vossens and a nice drop on it.

I know a lot of people w/ other Infiniti's running staggered w/o any issues... long term wise has not proven to be any factor of hurting the ATTESA-AWD yet
