Has anyone weighted the Sedan 18inch rims without the tire?

I weighted the spare over the weekend...it was ~26lbs.

just had a flat not too long ago .. 30lbs (rim, no tire) on a cheapie bathroom scale... 52lbs with the tire

That's a pretty heavy rim for an 18".

Also...I know you said cheapie bathroom scale, but the wheel seems a bit heavy and the tire seems light. 22lbs for the tire just seems light. Most sites that let you see tire weights (like bridgestone) show tires weighting from 26-32lbs for stock size tires.


That being said...I'm hoping the wheel is 30lbs! I'd like to get a set of lightweight rims, like 20lbs each. Saving 40lbs of rotational mass is HUGE.

I'm trying to see how I can make the G faster, lighter, more efficent...etc.
