actually a lot of detailers suggests sharpie for minor chips on black. And yes because my lips are flat black is the reasons I can see the chips

typical... you see them more on a flat black lip than on a polished. a sharpie is your best bet for small chip touch-up.

Is the "Phantom" GT30 the same color face as the "Formula Silver" GT30?
(A little off topic, but thanks for the info in advance) I'm debating on the last set of Phantom's that Sharif @ Forged has or getting the Formula Silver.

Phantom editions mean the flat black lip, the face can be formula silver like mine, or flat black.

Sharpie is my friend. I had some large chips that were large enough to see from a distance and the sharpie made them blend in more. I guess my advice is beware that the phantom editions can chip because like anything that is painted, when a rock hits it, the paint will chip!

They should make clearbra for rims!

I'm a Phantom member too but they're not on my car yet. Thanks for the heads up.

One of the reasons I wanted to avoid painted lips, but then I couldn't resist the phantom look. I think I have one myself and was planning to try something like this.

You could always get a clearcoat for added protection

I will look into that!

I think the rocks hit the wheels pretty hard and an additional coat of clear wouldnt help. Plus clear on flat black makes it glossy which goes against the reason for getting matte.... But that may be a good idea for people with gloss finishes!
