Have been looking into getting 19 inch wheels for my xcoupe
Dealer has been pretty admant that not only should I not go staggered but that I shouldn't even go to a tire circumference any bigger than what is on stock as all these things can mess up the driveline of the car.

As such it is pretty limiting.
I called a wheel tire co. today to look at the options. He also semed to indicate to me that the offsets are quite large on this car!!! He said they were about +55 because of the AWD system. As such those of you with this car or considering it, be careful wht wheels you get.

I am clearly a novice at this but if I understood what he says, he said that most "more std" offset wheels would stick out a good 1/2-1inch from the car.
On the one hand this might make them look pretty aggressive. On the other hand I can see tons of curb rash/damage too!!!

Just a heads up to all. I guess my hope to put stock sport rims on this car has ended. No to find a suitable aftermarket alternative.
So far Enkei makes one RPF! that is an 19x8 with 48 mm offset which would stick out a little more than 1/4 inch. Seems best option at the moment if we wanna go 19

 

don't make it too aggressive... like those ricers you were having their wheels stick out all the way!

 

That is my point!
It seems like anything less offset than 55 will stick out
so even going to a 45 offset will stick out .4 inches
if i understood right.
Really limits wheels

 

maybe you should move to a more weather friendly environment

 

Get your wheels made to whatever offset you want.

might need to go with a custom set of wheels made for the car. DPE, Iforged, HRE, etc. Companies like that have experience iwth all wheel drive cars and will or should be able to help you out.

 

try talking to a quality wheel vendor on this site. they can give you a lot better information about wheel fitment.
