I'm looking to use VPP Plan A by the end of the year. Does the plan provide for discounts on optional equipment also.

How did that work exactly? The VPP website FAQ seems to say they don't allow that:

Q. Can I transfer my claim number to another person?
A.
No. Claim numbers can only be used by the person they are issued to, and the name on the sales contract written at the dealership must match.

PS ricpaq, see the link above. It answers your question (no).

@blitzebill & all other users - yes... I purchased my 2011 G37 over Thanksgiving weekend using VPP. My company is able to take advantage of either Plan C or D (not sure which one it was). However, for Nov and Dec, Infiniti (and I think Nissan as a whole) upgraded VPP customers to Plan A. Plan A is the price you are paying for the car as if you were a Nissan/Infiniti employee.

I picked up a 2011 G37 - Platinum Graphite/Graphite - Prem & Nav packages:
MSRP: $40,120
Invoice: $36,862
Sales Price: $35,000

Good luck!

I thought the total savings for the G37 through VPP were $2750? Technically you can get the car for $2750 below invoice. Even though I didn't have a code, I bought my car for $2650 below invoice.

From the website, link below:

2011 G37 Sedan Journey
VPP Discount $1,250
Holiday Bonus Cash $1,500

My friend was able to generate the VPP-A number for friends and family, but my name was on the claim form as well. However, I did need to provide them his business card for proof that he did get the claim number for me.

He works directly for Nissan (engineer at North American Tech Center), so he went by the book. The Infiniti dealer I went to is pretty legit, this is my second purchase from them.

I just purchased a 2011 G37x with premium, nav, lo jack, splash guard and trunk net\carpet\1st aid package. I negotiated with VPP Plan A for $37,200.00 out the door. Only 1 out of 3 dealers would negotiate. They were willing to drop another $250.00 if I would take a blue slate floor model but I wanted a graphite shadow. They found my car in a nearby city and drove it to me.
