Has anyone had issues ordering wheels from CarID?
I ordered a set of wheels from CarID on 4/2 and they finally arrived on 4/24. Unfortunately after waiting 3 weeks for the wheels, one of them was obviously damaged before even being shipped. Pretty easy to see that it was damaged when mounting the tire on the wheel.
I called them immediately on Thursday and was told they have to have a UPS damage claim inspector come check it out before they can do anything. They clearly state that the calls are recorded and I advised them that the wheels where packed up fantastic (foam on both sides of the wheels, thick cardboard, ton of clear wrap) and there's no way it could have been damaged during shipping. I'm sure UPS will deny the claim, and it just feels like additional wasted time.
Do you guys think I'll be waiting another 3-4 wheels for this whole ordeal to process before getting a new one? I checked with a few wheel repair places and they all quoted me about $140 to fix it, which I definitely don't want to pay for out of pocket, but also don't want to wait another month for one replacement..

I've heard spotty reviews on Carid. They have poor customer service and long shipping times. I use them mostly just to research parts since they have a large database, but will not buy from them. My .02
