rallying with a large number of cars is just stupid.

that aside, im already coming up to the tail of the dragon for zdayz 2009 at the end of may.

 

I will someday to Tail of the Dragon in my G. I've wanted to take on that stretch of road for years. How are the police these days? I've had biker friends who've done the run in previous years and were doing everything as respectfully and lawfully as possible and still got harassed.

 

its up and down it seems. 07 wasnt bad at all but they had a big push in 08. 2 of my friends got tickets last year and the prototype gt-r nissan brought got pulled over too!

 

I had a friend get a ticket and threatened to have his bike impounded. What did he do? He was going 29 MPH in a 30 but the cop said his tires TOUCHED (not crossed) a double yellow line. He wasn't passing, he said he didn't even think he touched it but the popos still wrote him up anyway. What a crcok of crap.

 

ya they can be a pain. i think they had some new govt official at the beginning of 08 that went on a rampage. hopefully its cooled off. as we get closer to zdayz, ill be checking in with friends up there to see how it is.

 

cops are **** about that on the corners, just cuz the bikes lean puts the rider in the other lane. Dangerous for them, and the person in the other lane. Still, they could be a bit more understanding...

as for the straights, a bike should ride closer to the line. Gives opposing traffic the most view of them.

 

ya i cant tell you how many times ive turned a corner up there to have some motorcycle guys head leaned over into my lane.
