Hello. I took G Infiniti dealer last month to have a new fob & key made and to fix drivers door handle. I was there 5hrs and they told me they were unable to do anything & scheduled me to come back in a week. My car was left running in customer pickup area for awhile before I noticed. When I was pulling out the fob was in the fob slot I reached down and pulled it out & my G shut down and wouldn't do anything. The lead tech went out & jacked my car got it to start. The manager wanted me leave my G there without telling me what happened or giving me a loaner. I live over an hour away it was about 6pm I couldn't find anyone to come get me in the 15min they told me they were closing. They said to leave the keyfob in inserted until got home. On Tuesday at 3pm(the day before my rescheduled appointment) Infiniti service left me a message "Sorry but we have to cancel your appointment we don't have the proper equipment & software to fix your problem. I contacted Infiniti USA their doing an investigation and are going to cover my expenses to fix it. My question is how can start my G like the service tech did? Have buddy that owns a car audio & customizer shop. If I can drive my G there he can install a remote starter that uses my phone instead of the key fob. All the other Infiniti dealers are either outside my roadside towing or in another state & none of them are sure if they can undo or fix what that dealers has done Infiniti USA is still unable to give any additional assistance until their investigation is done. I'm on a fixed budget I have $700 to use on this(that's the price they quoted me for the key fob program & door handle locking mechanism) that didn't/couldn't do. I'm able to do most work on my G as long as I don't have to mess with the ecu/bcm/software. I've upgraded the brakes, DC intake & headers, Nedivia cat back, NISMO injector upgrade, Ngk coil upgrade, lastly a Pedal Comander. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've considered bridging the starter. Not sure how to on a newer car or if it's even safe to do so.
