"NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress in vehicles with over 5000 miles."

What's your mileage?

My insurance company (USAA) will replace or repair a windshield at no charge, so the vehicle’s warranty is not involved. I would check if your company does the same.

This varies by state law. Insurance companies do the absolute least that they're legally required to do for you. In Texas USAA glass claims are subject to your comprehensive deductible. In other states companies are mandated by law to cover glass with zero deductible.

OP, If they'll cover it under warranty that's your best bet. Not likely, but asking won't cost you anything.

Yep, sure are, but that doesn't mean it's not still a good idea to see if the dealer will make a good pitch for you. It certainly can't hurt; just don't get your hopes up.

it depends on your insurance and their rules . Mine had to be over 4 inches then they would cover it. BUt usually they have a deductible but not a crazy amount. That crack will eventually spread with heat and this crazy weather .

My insurance is willing to cover it in full without deductibles, and without a raise in premiums as they claim.

But why go through insurance if i can get OEM windows from Infiniti if they're willing to deal with it? lol

I’m sure most dealers treat cracked windshields the same as dented fenders or other body parts, and would not cover such damage. If you find a dealer that does, stick with them as they are superb (as long as they stay in business, of course).

I had mine replaced under warranty at around 48k kilometers / 30k miles. Nissan Canada first denied the warranty claim but my service manager fought for it to get mine replaced. Quite happy.

No point of impacts anywhere

The crack has grown twice the size.
Compound crack beginning or ending at the edge of the glass
This type of crack is always caused by impact to the glass. The point of impact is located where the crack “branches out”.
