Smudges on instrument cluster

It looks like white water dried on my instrument cluster on the glass where it shows the speedometer. Won't come off, I have a bad feeling its from the inside =(

BTW i'm new to the forum. HI.

Welcome. How would moisture get inside your cluster cover? Can you get a photo?

I've got something similar going on with my gauge cluster too. I am going to see if they can do something about it when I take the car in for the "windshield popping noise" in a week. I think that a cleaner was used on it and it etched into the plastic.

I had a few creeping up on my instrument shield, until I told the dealership to stop servicing the inside of the car!

Could it be Interior cleaning product that was a little heavily applied, then dripped on through the backside?

I had the exact same issue with my instrument cluster. All you have to do is get some Meguira's Rubbing Compound and a soft non abrasive cloth and just rub it on there and it will go away. Mine looks brand new now and you can't even tell there is glass (or plastic) there anymore. I hit it with a single coat of Meguiar's Polishing Compound right after, and even though I got no better results, it smelled pretty :-)
