I really like the look. Considered the M when I got the G. Will consider it again. Especially the 5.6L V8. Boss. When they go M56xS, I may be all over that. Beautiful car.

It is less than 10 hours from Nissan revealing New Fuga/ Infiniti M. We will know how many horsepower for M37 and M56 have. Nissan, please don't get us disappointed

the M56 is going to be rated at ~420hp.

why won't Nissan add direct injection on the G37? I specifically waited a year for the 2010 coupe expecting DI, now I have wait another year for the 2011 coupe. Might as well wait another 3 years for the next generation

They will but not until the next generation. Back in July or August when Infiniti released the list of updates for the 2010 models. They made it clear there would only be cosmetic changes to the G37 for 2010.

I actually don't expect DI to come out for the G until at least 2012 - the full refresh. VVEL is still pretty brand new.

but if the FX50 is putting out 390 it's got to be at least 420.. I'm hoping for like a crazy 450-480. I mean shoot it's VVEL, it's DI. if the VQ37HR can do 90HP/liter. doing 450 should be a piece of cake... or at least make room for an aftermarket supercharger =P

crazy tho... more than 400 HP. with 400 ft/lb that's going to be a fast beast. w/ plenty of hood space.

Only 420 HP? Why must nissan always under rate their engines?? They did it on the current m45 and fx50 too. For a 5.6 V8 I'd expect atleast 500hp. Same with the Fx50's 5.0 V8. Only 390HP when the base 3.5 V6 shells out 306.

I'm willing to bet that an aftermarket reflash or retune would be able to squeeze some more power out of the M56S.

Only underrating I know of is with the GTR. All the dynos I've seen posted for the M45 show between 270 and 280 HP at the wheels which make sense since the engine is rated at 325 HP. The dynos for the FX50 show it around 330 HP at the wheels which is good for a AWD vehicle.

Don't forget that the most powerful NA V8 in the world is Mercedes' 6.3L V8 that puts out between 451 and 563 HP.

great now the much lighter Ford Mustang has 305 hp and more torque than the G37. Now I'm glad I didn't get the G37, imagine losing a race to a $20k Mustang.

And thanks a lot Nissan for delaying the coupe's introduction by a year forcing people (such as myself) to wait another year for the mid-cycle refresh. Now the sedan looks better than the coupe: The Infiniti Source: 2010 Infiniti G37 Pictures Leaked Ahead of 2009 L.A. Auto Show

Who's the idiot in charge of product planning at Nissan?
