Question Anybody go away from the Eagle RS-A's?

I have an 05 FX35 Sport with the OEM 20's and Goodyear Eagle RS-A's, and I'm researching tires for the future. If you look up the Eagle's on TireRack, they come back with an overall rating of 3.6/10. I did some comparing, and it looks like the Bridgestone Potenza RE92A RFT might be a good option.

Anybody have experience with the Bridgestone's or have other recommendations?

Depends on your needs. The RSAs are decent all season tires but they don't really accel at any of them. For the OEM 265/50-20 the Michelin Latitudes are supposed to be cool, and Toyo Proxes are Mud + Snow rated. Summer only tires, the BFG KDWs are nice as well as the Nitto 555.

Had a customer come in last month with the RE92's on his car and he bought another set. He got 70K+ miles out of the stock RE92's which is interesting becuase the RE92, imo, is a crappy tire. Just goes to show that if you take car of them (rotation, balance, and alignment) they will last a good while.

What makes you think it's a crappy tire? Handling, ride quality, appearance? Just trying to understand the possible downsides since I've never driven on them and don't know anyone who has them...

Just the fact that almost all OE tires suck... This guy loved the tires so i geuss they cant be that bad. I've never had them on my cars so i dont know the ride quailty/handling/noise
