Wax on plastic

I accidently got auto wax on exterior plack plastic by side mirror. Plastic is now chalky color. Any ideas how to repair this. I have washed several times but does not help.
Thanks

peanut butter.. get the smooth kind(not nutty) and heat it in the microwave for less than a minute.... apply to the black part by mirrors and let sit for a minute then wash off.

Wax vs Plastic.........

One was to remove wax from plastic would be to dab a small amount of
paint thinner and then rinse with cold water or you could use the wax
designed for plastic trim.....but then you'll always need to wax those
mirror mounts to keep them look'in great........your choice.

peanut butter works great or you can use meguiar's trim detailer.
