Place that removes emblems

Hey all,

I was just wondering if any of you know a good shop somewhere in Socal (preferably 949 area) that can help me remove that "Infiniti" emblem on the trunk for me because I am unable to do it myself properly. I'm just afraid I might mess up lol. Thanks a lot!

Your garage! Just go get some goo gone, some dental floss, a few old tshirts and some scratch X remover.

Dribble some goo gone behind the letter and let it soak for a minute or two, catch the runoff with a rag. Use the dental floss to slice behind the letter and "cut" through the adhesive which should be loose by now. Repeat for all the letters. Wet a clean tshirt rag with more goo gone and scrub the leftover adhesive residue (I had a lot still stuck to the car), until it's all clean. Then follow the instructions on the scratch X remover to clean up the sun faded area! Takes one hour tops.

No heat needed in my case, it probably helps though. Oh, and wear gloves when messing with the goo gone. A little goes a long way, and make sure you catch the runoff. It never hurts to wash the car afterwards to ensure you got every last splatter off.

you dont need a lot of heat, even a hot SoCal day in the sun will get your emblems soft for removal

I just pulled it off in the sun, then i had the trunk sitting in up and let the WD-40 soaked in and then wiped everything off. Came out pretty clean for me.

This is probably the easiest and cheapest thing you can do!! Paying a shop to do this would be just dumb.

hello i work for Warren Henry Infiniti in Miami

My detail department uses a plastic razor blade or dental floss to remove the letters
mineral spirits to remove the glue
and some compound and wax afterwards

not worth paying somebody to do this, its an easy DIY
