Ive lived here all my life and only have been thru a hand full of earthquakes that were worth mentioning. And non that really did all that much damage besides stuff falling on the ground. They are good to get your heart goin

 

If you're lucky enough to qualify for EQ insurance, and lucky enough to afford EQ insurance you'd be in the minority anyway. Besides, its a total crap shoot as to what damage your going to sustain. My house was built in '68 and is one of seven homes in the neighborhood of 18 houses with the original chimney. Our next door neighbor had to reframe his garage door because the opening was so racked the door wouldn't open while I was able to open mine within 10 minutes of the shaker. EQ's aren't my favored natural disaster; but all things considered, the damage causing ones happen so infrequently I'd say the risk is minimal. Then again, my house isn't built on fill dirt like most of San Francisco is!

 

KK, looks like I will be coming out there to visit and get a "feel" for the job, as well as the area a week from today, until the following Sunday.

Any meets/get togethers I should know about? If not, we should plan one, would love to meet you guys. More then likely, I'll be with the Fast Intentions crew with Tony's GTR, and possibly the TT 370z.

 

There's a couple this coming weekend. Spocom on Saturday and Sunday I believe 88 Rotors is having a customer appreciation/meet. I'll look around and see what if anything is going on the following weekend. You have our numbers Darryl and I so hit us up.

K, scratch next week. I had waited to see if ticket prices would go down...and well, they went strrrrrraight up, up to $914 round trip on Tuesday. Haven't even looked since after saying F' it.

Ticket is officially booked for Tuesday, August 6th - Sunday August 11th. I guess there's a huge auto-x event going on on Saturday the 10th?

K guys, I fly in on Tuesday, and will be there until Sunday.

Would you guys be interested in getting a meet put together right at the shop on Thursday night(Simi Valley)? Not sure how many of you are willing to make the trip, I know traffic out there can get hectic.

We mentioned a meet at 7:30 right at the shop.

I'd also like to get together for some drinks/food/etc on Friday night or Saturday night if any of you are interesting in showing me around? I really don't have any experience out there, and would really like to get a good feel of the area to really get the just of what it'd be like to live out there fully.
