Well, if there's anything I learned living in the middle of Hollywood/Los Angeles it's that you simply cannot have nice things. I've had my '09 G37S for about 10 months, and 95%+ of the time it's in a garage, both at home and at work, so it figures that being at the Viper Room for just over an hour to take some pics of my friends show that this would happen.

I didn't take pics yet but some !@^-&#* decided it would be awesome to gauge up most of my driver's-side rear quarter panel and leave his initials for his handy work. All of this about 15 feet away from the parking lot/valet attendant who was ****ing off on his iPhone!! I'm so mad I could scream! This happened to me with my last G35, two weeks after I got it!! Thankfully this time almost all of the damage is isolated to the quarter panel (last time it was the entire driver's side).

WTF is up with haters? These cars are nice, but not THAT NICE. It's not like it's an Aston Martin or a Maserati!

Anyway, the scratches/gouges are deep, it's gonna need repainting. Does anyone recommend a good shop in LA/OC? I'm already resigned to the fact that paint never matches, but I'm hoping to get it close. It's black so I'm hoping that's easier??

Please help! I'm going to call the insurance company in the morning and file a claim.

Man I don't have much help to offer being on the other side of the country but that really sucks. Some people just aren't right in the head.

 

I just got my G two days ago all black and I'm worried some douchebags from school are going to key my car cause there all ***gots. I try and park next to all the nice cars so that it doesn't stick out.....

you have black, you have to try hard for the paint NOT to match. sucks but not the end of the world

 

I feel ur pain. 2 days after I got mine painted satin, it got branded with 2 smiley faces on the hood and one sad face on the passengers door. There r 2 many a$$holes around. Luckily my paint guy hooked it up and painted both panels again .

 

Sorry man that sucks! If I ever caught somone they would be in ambulance for sure. Black is an easy match. Metalic a different story. Find a reputable shop. Also make sure to tell them you dont want to see any oversrpay whatsoever on any part of the car. Good shops have methods now to keep that from happening. I hate overspray!

pretty sure your paint will match since it's black. that's the easiest paint to do. just be sure to get a good detail on the panels that's not getting painted.

 

That sucks bro, I just can't see someone doing that at random. Did you get into a fight or argument in the Viper room, did you cut someone off? I'm not saying that they were right doing that to the car, but at random, I just don't know. Call your insurance, depending on your deductable, have them handle it, we pay into it, thats what its for. Sorry again.

 

You'd think so, but this is LA - I've known lots of people this has happened to, with BMWs or old beat up cars. People are just a-holes! I drive graciously and had no altercation at the Viper Room. There were beer bottles/cans next to my car, some idiots were obviously squatting there to get loaded and decided to have fun scribbling on my car!

I find it SO sad that people out in the world can randomly do acts of cruelty like this to innocent folks. Wow. It is a scary-sick world out there. Best of luck with the repaint. I am sure it will look fine man!

What is up with them is that they are broke, don't have a pot to **** in. They can't stand the fact that others can afford nice things. The only satisfaction you can get is that they will always be broke & never have anything nice.
