My G37S lease return experience

Thought to share my experience. Sorry for the long read...

Another era finally has come to an end. Was thinking to pull a trigger on the hardtop but the guy who I dealt totally blow me away!! Since it all started at the South Bay Infiniti so I thought I'd return to the same dealership and possible get a good deal on the hardtop.
So it all begins with the salesman that made an appointment with me happened not working today.... ok that's fine right? So this grey hair salesman came to me and asked what do I need so I told him that I'm here to return my lease. He told me to move my car to the front parking lot since it was ALL full when I arrived. As I was returned to the lobby he wasn't there anymore, so I looked around and saw him sitting in his office chatting with another salesman and he just used his hand gesture to ask me to come in. So we chatted a little while he was working on the odometer process, then he just tell me to sign on the electronic pad WITHOUT explain or show me the monitor at all!!! so I had to ask him to show me what hell am I going to sign right now and he just told me he will give me a copy of it later... in the meantime he made a very stupid joke, "oh and you will see 4 free Infiniti parked in front of your house by tomorrow" and LOL all by himself. Finally I got my odometer printout in my hand as I was reading through then he told me "that's it, we're done here" TWICE! seriously, he didn't explain or show me the monitor at first and he expect me to leave right away after I receive the printout?! so he decided NOT even "pretend" to apprciate the fact I WAS a Infiniti owner from his dealership so I left the office without hearing any "thank" word. That's one ironic experience that I didn't expect from Infiniti after being his customer for 3 years.

At last, I don't know if any other dealership would offer to take you home after you drop off the car. Obviously, he didn't offer a ride so I had to ask and he just told me "we don't have driver".

Bottom line, stay away from South Bay Infiniti if you want a good customer service!! specially that guy!!!

I bought my car from SouthBay Infiniti - the reason for it - they gave me the best price. Santa Monica came in close, but they were still about $1k off. The guy that sold me the car is Mark (forgot his last name). Pretty cool guy - did all my negotiations over the phone/internet, so when i got there, there was no need to haggle.
Sorry that you had a bad experience there - but look at the bright side, they didn't charge you for anything extra (as most other brands do).

Yeah, I'd say that was a pretty rude turnover experience. I would send a complaint to the manager of that dealership. You were pretty much treated like dirt.

Sorry to hear... Sometimes you get bad salesman. For all 3 of my Infiniti purchases, I've been happy. Not thrilled, but happy.

I'm not sure what you really expected? I wouldn't expect a ride home from a lease return. Actually it sounds like a good experience since you just had to sign and walk away. I guess some people expect more for not paying them anymore? I don't know.

Sounded like you got your car from South Bay Infiniti and you wanna vouch for them? Apparently you're one of those people who doesn't know nothing about customer service!! All other members who posted above thought it was a rude experience.

Of course I just signed and walked away since the car was in perfect shape!! duh!! what do you expect when my car was in excellent condition? I babied it like crazy although it was a lease car.
you don't know? oh yeah of course you don't cause you didn't read my original post clearly enough.. READ my first sentence again! I said "was thinking to pull a trigger on the hardtop". that's why I was expecting some kind of service AFTER my 3 years (including a G35) lease. Got it? again, READ before you input your own opinion!!!

sorry to hear about that. Did you make an appointment to drop off your off lease car? Also, it was preinspected correct?

I didn't get my car there nor care about dealers, BUT you didn't buy a car. Do you go to a dealer and expect a ride home? I don't get it. I think you're complaining just to complain. You turned in your car and didn't have a ride home.

I don't think they deserve negative anything. I've never heard of people expecting a ride home. If you lived 75 miles away you'd still expect that? Come on.

Yes he could have been more polite, yes he made a bad joke but it's not a horrible experience. I've seen far worse things happen. He asked you what you were there for and you said you were there to return a lease and that's all he did for you. If you would have said I'm here to return a lease but I'm interested in getting an other G it would have been a different story. Personally if a salesman asked me what I was there for and all I said is that I was there to return a lease and he tried to sell me an other car I'd be pissed.
