Twice now you've posted that "you know nothing will change" and also that you really don't care. And also that you are annoyed by vendor thread bumping and that you feel that vendors and members threads should be handled equally. Can you not see his self contradictory that is? Clearly you do care and are bothered by it, or else you wouldn't take my thread off topic twice to express how you feel about it even though that's not the topic. I get it. Post a thread of your own about what vendors do if it chaps you so much. Vent to your heart's content. Not here please. That's not what this thread is about. I didn't ask that. I'm not asking about that. I don't want your thoughts about it in this thread. I don't see how I can make that clearer.

I mostly wanted to know how most people felt about it Sam. Opinion seems somewhat split about like I thought it would be for the most part. I've got my own thoughts and opinions but wanted to see if what I think is how most others see it. I personally don't think we have any real problem in this area right now, at least not for the most part. My thoughts are that we leave it alone and simply address any issues individually as they arise. Anyone that becomes a nuisance or that members are legitimately complaining about can be handled on a case by case basis by the staff.

I wasn't trying to be a thorn. I think you missed the point I was attempting to make about vendor threads, but I am not going to bring it up again. I don't think bumping a prive For Sale thread even once a day negatively affects the overall atmosphere of this forum. If people start bumping their classified threads ten times a day, that's a different story as it becomes obnoxious.

I guess my previous responses in this thread were not in-line with what you were looking for, but since you just stated that you wanted to know the thoughts of members on it, mine is that it doesn't really bother me when people trying to sell things here post in their own threads in an attempt to generate views/traffic (within reason).

 

I think daily bump is fine. Some people want to sell quickly and being able to daily bump ensures your thread isn't lost in the sea of other thread.
