Some parts of the new layout are good.
The ability to sort by price etc is a great feature.

with a little tweaking to the template, and adding wheel size categories;
this might be good.

Hi everyone, thank for your feedback.

i did some tests, it does appear that things aren't quite functioning exactly as intended. I will make sure tech is aware of this, and hopefully a fix will come today.

That said, we've installed these new classifieds on a few other sites now, as usual, initial reaction to change is negative, but once given a chance, we've seen a marked increase in classified section usage & traffic on every site.

Bear with us, we'll work with you, to work out the kinks and I am confident you'll like this one better in the end.

cheers,
robb

Is there a way to combine the two?

For example have this new search thing but also have things sub-categorized.

There hasn't been any reduction of forums, so I'm not sure what you mean by categorized.

We can add more fields, or improve the ones currently in place for when listings are submitted, that's the kind of feedback which will help us get this system functioning the fastest.

cheers,
robb

Really liked the old one much better. And also, have a lot of the old listings been deleted? I only see listings back until about the beginning of April, which isn't even very far back.

The new Marketplace search can only search as far back as it's been in place. in this case, that's about 5 weeks since we installed stage one. If you are looking for listings that are older than that, the traditional search feature will work as it always has.

The longer this new Marketplace is in use, the more the listings will fill out.

Wow I spent a pretty good deal of time with the marketplace a few years back.. It's a lot more cluttered now, seems to list all the most recent FS threads on one page with the category to the side. Either way we still should be able to click on an individual Category and view all those threads. I hope you guys aren't planning on doing this to the vendor forum or Off-Topic either.

I've made some adjustments already to the parts section. I've also fixed it so that you are able to hide the marketplace search if you want to

When you are on the thread listing page, you can click on the category section, and sort threads by category, i know it's not exactly what you're after, but it's a bit better.
