iPhone formatted site?

I noticed a few iPod/iPhone forums, such as modmyi.com offer a mobile safari formatted version of their site. Any chance we can get that plug-in added here? I'm sure a lot of people would benefit from this.

I post things all the time through my iPhone. Why do we need a special site for that? I guess I would be OK with an App for it.

if vBulettin had a dynamic iPhone app that could load whatever forum u log into, that would be dope. i highly doubt the development of an app just for a particular forum is that practical though...

I know this thread is 6 months old, but I also see that the tapatalk was never activated for this forum. Will it ever be?

We have no control over these issues. IB owns this website (and vBulletin) so unless it's something they feel is worthwhile, it ain't happening. Perhaps in a future version of vB, there will be an option to switch to a mobile friendly format. This site isn't too bad to browse on the iPhone as long as you're using Wi-Fi.

Are you sure about that? Because I'm pretty sure G35NYC.com is vBulletin and they have a mobile version of the site.

Oh I'm not talking about the mobile version. I'm talking about the Tapatalk app on the iPhone that let's you use these forums. It's supposed to work with any vbulletin forum as long as the admin enables it. Really handy app for keeping all your forums in one place and very fast.

It's not a feature of vB (or at least the version we have) and I remember discussing the idea a while back - security issues I believe was the reason.

I'll look in the Admin CP for such a feature and if it's possible to enable, it will be done.

Hi, we are well aware of Tapatalk, however we have decided not to install it in our sites because it demands users pay a fee if they want to actually interact with their community. We have made it our number 1 priority to provide our own mobile application which will work across platforms and not charge users a fee to post.

I don't have a definite timeframe on this project, but I can assure you it is of the highest priority, we are getting requests like this one in almost every forum.

cheers,
robb
