G37 and Q40 steering rack

G37 and Q40 steering rack

According to Infiniti of Orland Park, the Q40 and G37 share a rack and pinion, its also cheaper than the G37, anyone verify this?

It's the same car. Q40 was G37 before they finally killed it. The only differences would be between the sport models which had the faster rack.

All V36 rwd racks are all the same. Difference is in the tie-rods. Sport steering is just shorter tie-rods.

What about the awd? They all should have the rack in common too then. And is it possible to switch to a sports rack?
