My G is acting weird
I have a 2012 G37xs that started being weird today. It was fine most of the day, then I started it this evening and it had no power. It does 0-60 in about a minute.
I also noticed that it now starts without having to press the brake pedal. For a while the rear lights were dimly lit when it was off, but I got that to stop by stomping on the brake pedal. I don't know if it's a factor, but we had an epic amount of rain today.
I'll stop by the dealer tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone here had any idea what might be going on. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me once. Back in the winter my brake pedal actually bent when i pressed it, and what ended ended up happening was it wouldn't go all the way back up. Your brake pedal is not coming all the way back up, that is why you can start your car without pressing the brake. The reason the car won't accelerate is because when the brake lights are on it restricts how much the car can rev and how fast it can go. When you drive it to the dealer you can use your left foot to push the brake pedal back up into position so you can drive normally.
After I got the repair done, it happened again, but lucky the second time they just had to adjust the pedal and raise it a little. So chances are they will just need to get it there and raise the pedal up so it isn't hitting the sensor and slightly activating the brakes

Sometimes those brake switches can go bad as well. It might not be a bent pedal, but a defective switch. Happened on my wife's Civic - it would randomly 'activate' while going down the highway and disengage the cruise control.
The no power would be from a error of the MFS. I had the acceleration problem when I installed my aftermarket intake and found that the MFS was the cause.
Do you have CAI or anything of that nature?

I don't have any mods at all. I think the problem was what the earlier posters said about the brake switch/sensor. The problem hasn't returned since that day so I'm thinking it was something to do with the super-wet weather we had for a couple of days.
The car doesn't seem to like wet/humid weather in general; the brakes get grabby, the engine "smokes" and you get funky smells. Both this and my previous G did same so I just ignore them, but this was the first time I experienced what I described in my first post.

The possible Fix!

Happened to me today after a hard rainfall. My drivers side pillar colum is wet all the way down to the floor. The sunroof tubes are clogged and water ended up pooling on my driver side floor which can cause the fuse box down there to act up. The sensors on your brake pedal are wet and are also acting up causing the accelerating issue. First unplug the negative terminal on the battery then Unplug both sensors attached to the brake pedal and dry them out with a hairdryer as well as the fusebox nearby. That ended up fixing all my issues! Hope this helps
