whoever bought this, any info on how easy the install was with just this and the lower cover?

Infiniti G37 Paddle Shifter Installation

 

I bought this :-)

Install was easy, I used the guide that G Nepal linked, never needed to dis-connect the battery. Got the paddles installed in about 10 minutes in the driveway with just a philips screwdriver and some pulling.

Just ordered the cover from:

Slightly awkward since the descriptions are all W/O so it's process of elimination... I have black leather interior so I got :

2010 Infiniti G37 Sport Shroud

It says stone so I'm worried it's not going to be black (I have the black leather like you so I want to make sure it's black).

I found this:

P.S. I'm thinking we can help the community by linking these two items which is so much cheaper then buying the kit.

 

If you read the description for both of the linked items you posted it states the color is stone. They will come in stone 100% guaranteed if you order those items and they will not exchange or match that price for the graphite (black) variant. Any new set will be more expensive in black leather, I believe I saw somewhere this is due to the part/model/color being shared with the GT-R.
