first buyer got dyno'd. put down 322hp and 260tq at Z1 which was on a dynojet in Atlanta with high humidity and im sure some heat 2 days ago. ive seen higher Z's at Z1 but they told him it was all the humidity. his before tune was 296hp and i forget about the TQ. ill check on mods too but i know he has the Z1 mani, gen 3, ported TB's, some CBE and ill have to check on TP or headers.

my other buyer with a G37 is going to only install the TB's and dyno. he has an uprev tune now so we will go to the local dyno, run 3 times, install the TB's and run again. Fingers crossed we see at least 5hp untuned and if he gets a tune later on if tuning the TB's will gain more power. but again when we go to the dyno we will only do with and without the new ported TB's here real soon. his TB are on their way back from the porter now.

Bigger TB's are proven on all cars! You guys don't have to sit around and wait months. Summers almost over. Do the research.

So I finally got tuned today at Smokeys and I believe the 2nd here. Although the old tuner is gone for reasons that aren't good I guess. To my great surprise the car was still rich! It was rich stock I'm sure, rich with a CBE and CAI, rich with a LTH, and rich with ported TB's, ported upper and lower manifold. Average looks to be around 11.6-11.8. That sucks because I was taking it easy for fear of being lean for like 3 weeks after the manifolds and TB were installed.

Now after the tune its running around 12.6-12.7. The tuner said some run into the 13's but we felt safe with it turning into a track car to not make a dyno queen. I was told timing had been picked up around 3-4 degrees and there were some issues with uprev. The data logger was acting up only getting some of the items at times and the 2013 ROM wasn't doing what he wanted it to do. He would tell it to do things and it wouldn't 100%. Pretty much took all day after waiting 2 hours for uprev to email a license and some other things then start to build a new MAF map.

Since the car was rich he did a base run pull with the OEM size MAF housing so we could see a before and after on his dyno. I've never been on this one before and never heard of it. It's called a superflow AWD and uses something called STP instead of SAE or STD. After the base he started turning everything up. We swapped the MAF from 2.5" to 2.75" and finished it up. Results look to be around 15hp and 6tq at max peak with around 15hp and 15tq above 4500rpm in the mid range (minus that base run boost from 6300-7100). Pretty much what I thought a NA tune would do.

Next I have to get back on the dyno I've been to a few times before and really compare all of them!!

Mods.

LTH
Custom 2.75" CAI
63mm ported TB

So the tuned numbers include just the switch to a 2.75 maf and tuning? Not quite the numbers I was expecting but not bad numbers to say the least. I wonder what the numbers are in std and sae. Thanks for going through with this and posting for the better of our community! Much appreciated!

Correct, tune and just a 5" MAF switch. Have you seen tunes get more than that? I haven't. That's normal increase for some timing and fuel on a NA motor. The point of the post is to show AFR isn't effected by the porting so your safe till tune time. I'll show what the porting did at IPS when I go back. Last was 293hp and 243tq. We know the tune got 15 so whatever's over 308hp and 249tq is all the porting.

I was just referring to the peak numbers you got for the parts listed. The power picked up from the tune is pretty standard for an na vhr. Looking forward to the ported numbers

O, well like I said they used a superflow AWD dyno and STP which I've never heard of. I have no idea what to compare that to when a dynojet can be just a rear wheel dyno in STD, SAE or uncorrected. So going back to the dynojet I've been on before is a good thing. The tuner said the last tuner was fired for changing settings within the superflow to show bigger numbers. Since then I'm sure the numbers have been changed back. This tells me there's a lot of messing you can do within that dyno so 301hp could be anything on a dynojet. We shall see.

See here's their dyno with a RWD car but both are spinning so cars like a RWD Porsche can be dyno'd and tuned without the cars ecu freaking out because the fronts are still.
