I had my grille plast dipped.

It didn't look/feel right to me, so I had it painted Obsidian Black. Looks so much better in person than the PD did. Dunno if it's just me, but that stuff wouldn't come off my grille. I was peeling for an hour before deciding to hit it with a pressure washer. Still couldn't get 30% of it off, so sprayed it with Aircraft paint remover and took the finish and PD straight off lol.

Now: (warning cell phone pics)

I plastidipped my mt fuji emblem. Really prefer it over painting. May try doing my window trim this weekend. Thank you for the examples that inspired me!

Thanks...

Cereal I really like the plastidip on the chrome window trim. Seems like the easiest way to go. Hopefully more sedan/vert people take that route (ahem Buzz). :P

I did my grille tonight! I might look more into doing the chrome trim around the outside as well....seems like it would be pretty straight forward!

I personally like the look of the flat black/matte black on the front with the OB

hey cereal, i have a question about your window trim. is it hard to tape up and take off tape when down? any easy way to do it so the plastidip doesnt peel when you take off the tape?

Thanks! I attempted to PD the trim around my windows last night...it did not turn out so well. Luckily I can just peel it off and start over :-D Minus the 20 feet of Painters tape and 4 coats of PD I put on there. Oh well, cheap fix really

I taped of just below the trim and above it by the windows and it takes some precision to keep it straight. I tried to keep a very thin line between the tape and there the trim meets the door. On peeling it off I used a boxcutter on the edge of the door to aid in the peeling process.this was placed right under the trim where it meets the door. I thin ruler may be a better choice though. The key is nice thin layers and I did not go all put to spray under the trim with a heavy dose of the dip.
