What's does this means? "Plasti Dip® does have limited resistance to petroleum based products. "

 

It's not meant to protect against them, so the finish on the PD'd item will get affected. Depending on which particular product, the PD may dissolve altogether.

What happens when you wash the car? Will it rub off? How about some more daytime closer pics of the roof? Thanks man!

 

i have a buddy that just plasti-dipped his whole trunk on his miata(track car) and it came out pretty good. He sent me a pic but it's a crappy blackberry pic and don't know if it's worth posting.

 

DID YOU SAND THE RIMS FIRST? OR DID YOU JUST CLEAN REALLY WELL & SPRAY?

 

You can sand it but it'll be harder for you to remove should you decide to do that later.

 

Anyone know how good the clear looks? I wonder if it could be used like a clear bra.

 

I did my TWM **** in plasti-dip. Reason behind it is that it get's ice cold in winter when parked outside and not very nice to hold and shift. A few cold days I had parked the car outside and it did help, but it started peeling after 2 weeks from the constant shifting.

As far as interior goes, my friend plasti dipped all his chrome trim in his '05 mustang GT and it came out great. He also did a get exterior emblems in plastidip and they also came out looking good.

My emblems have been able to withstand 3 car washes without a problem.

 

I live in Arizona where the temps can go up to 110 degrees!!! Would it be safe to plastidip my wheels???
