I mean that in terms of design. The meaning of "essence" is ones identity or character. This particular design is an idea that first took shape on the FX as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't even matter which came first. Both cars have the same physical characteristics because they are based on a similar idea or direction Infiniti is trying to pursue.
That's the point I'm trying to make. We already have an example of what the Essence looks like as the FX and that aint great. What makes the next M or Q any different? Both will be family sedans and the FX is already as sleek as they come. It's possible this design fits a 2 seater coupe best and not anything with 4 doors and respectable back seat and headroom.

^^+1 on the Aston, also a little like a Maseratti.
Not sure where dude was going with the FX comment, that is not a crossover, that is a luury sportscar. I imagine it will be just like the G37, in a few years they will release something that is similar but different. Hopefully whatever it is the factory TT is still part of the equation.
