I'll be staying over night since I'm driving 11hrs. I booked a room at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Altoona.

 

What's the head count stand at right now?

 

$140 at the Microtel. $60 at the Econolodge.

Hmm... pretty sure the Microtel continental breakfast won't be worth $80.

I still haven't booked anything, though.

 

It's only about a 2.5 hour drive for us, so we will probably head home after the meet.


(But that is subject to change...)

I checked out the Days Inn per your prior suggestion on Priceline, and that appears to be a good option at around $100. And they have a full breakfast . The Econolodge didn't get reviews that were as favorable.

It truly is a bummer that I most likely won't be making it to the meet because I have been looking forward to it for several months, but new job opportunity is obviously much more important, sucks I'm most likely not coming unless the dates get pushed back even further then maybe I'd make the out of nowhere appearance

I'm hitting the road around 7AM and have about a 3.5 hour drive myself. Check-in for the pavilion is 8AM but I don't see a need to be there that early.

How does a 12pm kick-off work for everyone? Anyone can arrive sooner if they would like.

 

I like noon... which means I'll be leaving at 8:00 AM as well. I was wondering where to have dinner, but if it's anything like last year, we'll be eating all afternoon anyway. That's assuming people bring stuff again.

Remember guys, this is a PA State Park, so alcohol is prohibited. Similarly, Pennsylvania is decidedly NOT friendly to cannabis. AFAIK, even medical cannabis from your state is illegal in PA. Small amounts will get you arrested, so make good decisions. And if you don't, then be sure to share.
