2015 G37 Sedan Meet-up (August 29) Chat Thread
I like the last one here. It looks like that side of the cove is probably less frequented than the other side. It also looks like the parking lot pavement is getting reclaimed by nature, and there's a patch of woods between the pavilion and the cars.
So with that last consideration, maybe not Memorial Lake State Park. As much as I'd like a pavilion for a picnic, I'd like to stay close to the cars, too, because the cars and kind of the whole point of the get together.

Understood. If we can sway away from the whole park/picnic thing, that will make this a lot easier. I can get us a location at a brewery where we can control some parking lot space and break away in packs for beverages and snacks.
If that's cool with the majority, I'll lock that up.
Otherwise, IMO, our best option is the August 29th location at the Canoe Creek State Park. I know it's another month away from our scheduled target date but I think this meets all criteria as to what we are looking for.

Another update!
Still searching for a location for the July 31 - Aug 2 date range. I've tried about 10 parks so far. While searching I found a nice spot for a later date.

I have found a location that should be a close to average distance for everyone.
Canoe Creek State Park
205 Canoe Creek Rd
Hollidaysburg, PA 16648
Pavilion #3 is available for Saturday August, 29, 2015. I know this is outside of the mentioned date ranges within the poll however the I think the location is prime. Secluded enough for MILD shenanigans. The pavilion is on the opposite side of the like from the park office and other amenities.
Features of this location:
Less than 300ft to Restroom and Water
Less than 300ft to Parking Lot (good size lot too)
Electricity
Grills
I want to secure something ASAP so if no one has any objections to this location, I will lock it up for the date mentioned above.
I've snapped a few screenshots of the area. Feel free to perform further investigation via Google Maps. Here are the coordinates of the parking lot that is adjacent to Pavilion #3.
