I got mine done at Safelite in Saugus. The guy is very professional and much better than the Safelite in Quincy. He wrapped my seats and the front of my car with rags so there would be no other damage while taking out the glass. The Safelite in Quincy did not and made holes in my seats with the glue wire cutter in his back pocket. My insurance paid for it with no deductible. Total cost was $382.

Granted, the glass does have some waviness to it, but that's expected from an aftermarket glass company. Mine was FYG brand, which is OEM in some American vehicles.

You could always go to your dealer or bodyshop for this, but they do charge more, and your insurance will only pay out for aftermarket glass. You will have to put in extra out of pocket for OEM glass. Since MA has a lot of salt rocks in the winter and sand, windshield replacements will be common and the high expense for OEM glass isn't worth it.

Safelite is nationwide. I've used them twice. No problems. No waviness in the windshield.

I had mine done by Ocean Glass, they came to me and did it in my driveway. I have no complaints with them. I think the brand of glass used was Pilkington.

I was hoping to avoid having it replaced because I am always weary of the installation job they do after when it comes the moldings and cowling replacement. I have glass guys really put some significant nicks in the plastics. Infiniti of Norwood where I got my car and service, use modern auto glass which is a local company so I will drop it off there and let them take care of it and hope for the best.

can someone post a picture of the top gasket of their replacement windshield? Mine was done today and the top gasket now is a v channel instead of being flat

I posted a picture in your other thread. Hopefully that helps. Your gap is way too wide.
