Spring install in nj?

I tried posting this in the regional section but didnt get much of a response so I'm trying here. Mods please don't get mad . I'm planning on buying springs soon from somewhere.. Hopefully in the used section I want to lower my 09 g37x using eibachs but everywhere I've called has quoted pretty high without alignment. Any recommendations? In the upper NJ region, morristown. Thanks!

Have you considered doing the install yourself? It's pretty easy, just need a 2ft breaker bar, an air impact ratchet (for the spring compressors) and jack w/ jackstands. If you don't want to swap the springs you can remove the stock front struts and have a shop compress & swap the springs w/ you doing the install. Spring compressors are a free rental at Autozone/O'reillys, just leave a deposit, then return within 24 hours for a refund. Just be sure to grease the hell out of the compressor bolts. Just a thought

unless you find a "Friends shop" that is willing to do it for free or buddy price, you wont really find a super cheap price anywhere.

People want to get paid to work that's just the way it is... You are better off finding out what is the estimated Labor time for the swap... And then call back and ask why they are charging you so much for the hourly rate.. Unless they are not charging you alot and you are just being cheap and want cheap or semi-free labor

yeup, I got the spring compressor from Autozone and with my buddy's help changed the springs.
As blnewt mentioned, to do this I think it definitely takes two guys, air compressor, impact ratchet, breaker par, jack & jackstands, a torque wrench and all the right size sockets & wrenches.
Just about every nut and bolt was so tight we had to use a breaker bar.
It also helps to do some reading and have a game plan before you start the project.

.....and a few refreshments

I then had Goodyear do lifetime the alignment.

I did it myself, but having a helper is always a good idea (unless he drinks way too much beer).

OP you might want to make a post w/ the title "I live in *** USA, anyone that can DIY a spring install?"
If I were near you I'd do it for a case of beer.

Ah I wish lol. People were quoting me 4-5 without alignment. Then found a shop that would do it for 250 but its 2 hrs away. I mean I don't mind paying but a few of u guys have already said it could be done with 2 people and the right equipment so I guess I was just throwing up a Hail Mary

JDS Motoring. Go there to get your spring install done. I dont think they will charge more than 350. I got quoted 600+ other places but i remember calling JDS Motoring and they quoted me around 350 and 250 for a coil install. I ended up not getting it done there, a friend of a friend did it, but I go to a lot of G and Z meets in NJ and so many people go there to get their work done. I suggest not going to akuma motorsports which is in woodbridge. I didn't have a pleasant experience there.

I'd go ahead and re-post w/ your exact town & see if anyone here can help you. I'm sure you'd be in close proximity to some guys that have DIY'd. It doesn't have to be in the coupe section, not sure where you'd get the most response but Sedan section also gets a lot of lookers. Once you've been through it once you'd see how easy it is so there should be some willing folks around here.
Good Luck as I know I'd never pay 4 or 5 bills for something I can do in a couple hours.
