Sleepy-z, Of course, by all means . . . You folks are more than welcome to run with us. I think you and I had mentioned this is one of your other post. I think it would be an excellent idea.

How many of you folks would like to get together and have a bite to eat, once we are in the Santa Cruz area? I am trying to find a place, which might suit everyone.

I will probably make a dry run via the route, which we will be taking, this Sunday. I will look for a staging area and places to eat, as well.

Excellent, David . . . I am pleased to see you will be joining us. Hmmm . . . Three Davids all in numerical order. That's interesting . . . Is there something that the rest of us should be aware of?

Is this just g35s? or other cars as well. Please let me know. However, most of my friends like to drive um...really fast.

^ Don't bring anyone who wants to race or drive wrecklessly, or they will be asked-no, scratch that- TOLD to leave.

I know we have opened this up to the Z-community- do we want to open it up even further to include other makes/models?

I suggest what we did at the berryessa backroad drive, we split, those who wanted to go reckless left first the larger group who wanted to cruise slowly followed. Just make sure you let everyone know that, or like me, they end up in front of the reckless guys. I guided them through a little bit of berryessa but as soon as I powerslid through a corner at 50+ I exited to calm the nerves and cruised the rest of the way. I almost bit it but thank god the lsd was there, I will never do that again, at least in my car.

I agree. The last thing we need is someone representing NorCal G driving like an idiot.

Okay, before this gets out of hand. Let it be made very clear . . . This is a social fun run to Santa Cruz. Anyone inclined to have their race hat on, behave obnoxiously behind the wheel, not respect the rules of the road, etc. . . . . need not come and be part of this gathering.

It appears that there will be many people on this run . . . As such, I would not want any of us to come under the scrutinizing eye of the authorities due to the misbehaved actions of a few, whom exercise improper conduct on the roads. There will be more than just 1 or 2 cars involved in this run . . . So, please act accordingly.

Can we leave the girls at the mall! That might take care of my convincing mine to go and not drag me to some bbq ...and not get in trouble for anything.

ok..seriously, I think I 'm just going to tell mine we're going to the mall (serramonte) and just kidnapp her.

and racing on those twisties....bad idea. Its the bay areas most popular place for bikers and they like to go fast too. A G that crosses over that yellow line at the wrong moment could cause alot of pain. Many bike crashes happen there especially on weekends (2 for me so far) and if you come around way too fast.....you know what happens.

Eric . . . Thank you for you comments. For those, whom have traveled this route, you know what Eric is referring to. For those, whom have not, it is a great run and VERY enjoyable, if driven normally.

This is my one of my favorite local back roads runs, which I wanted to share with everyone. Over the years, I have extended it down to the Santa Cruz area and beyond to the Big Sur area. Everyone will be glad they came.

Andy aka Post ***** . . . .

Gotcha! . . . . Eric

I've been riding motorcycles for over five years now, been in many clubs and we do exactly that. Those who have more experience and riding ability ride faster of course and those with less stay at slower speeds. Nevertheless everyone rides their own ride and cruises at their own speed level. We are all adults here and don't need Mommy's to tell us what to do. Just be safe. I believe no one here is an idiot unless proven otherwise. Everyone is right about these roads. It's not really a road for cars, to narrow. Hundreds of Motorcycles fly through corners all day on a good sunny weekend. I agree take this one slow for the motorcyclist. We could do another road thats safer to open it up next year. Sucks, but I couldn't get off work for this one. Have fun without me! Until next time. PeAcE!!!

Okay, good people . . . I will be making a practice run for next Sunday's Santa Cruz run, today.

This evening, I will post the turn by turn details with the appropriate mileage readings. Let's keep that sign-up list count climbing.
