Hello from New 2012 G37S 6MT Convertible Owner
Hi All- I finally joined the club after several years of searching. I live in the PNW and found a 2012 G37S 6MT convertible which checked all the boxes for me: manual transmission, hardtop convertible, S-model. 150k miles but it was in great condition, clean title and had very consistent maintenance records. New clutch and sparkplugs done in the last 6 months. The prior owner installed a cold air intake, otherwise it's stock.
I've always loved the Infiniti brand ever since the early 2000s when I had the chance to drive a G20T with a manual transmission...I figured it was time to take the plunge before the fleet of G37's get older. It also bugs me that the Q60 series and beyond didn't have a stick-sift option, so it had to be a G37 model.
I've driven a mid 2000s Honda civic all this time and it's served me well. I've built up enough confidence over the last few years to do car work that involves common tools and a lift...I've replaced the struts and shocks on the Civic, changed oil, brake pads and rotors, etc. I know I'm in for projects on this new-to-me G37, but I'm so excited about it that the maintenance items don't phase me.
My first projects include:
Looking forward to many years of enjoyment out of this car, and I'm excited to be here!

My first projects include:
- Hard top o-ring replacement. It rattles when closed but the solution looks simple. https://infinitig37.com/TSB/ITB11-035a.pdf
- Repaint the faded "S" symbol on the back. Do any of you happen to know the color code for the red color on the "S" symbol? I figure I could buy a tiny amount of high-gloss automotive paint to paint the letter myself instead of pay >$50 for replacement OEM lettering.
Looking forward to many years of enjoyment out of this car, and I'm excited to be here!
