2013 G37S 6MT Sedan - new owner

I wanted to do a quick introduction. Was raised around Nissans (back when they had a decent portfolio (SRs, VQs, etc.) and progressed over to GM performance cars. Back in 2010 when I owned the Sentra I drove out to Colorado with my parents for vacation with the intention to buy a 2007 G37S 6MT with about ~20k miles. Unfortunately I scrapped that idea as I am a little obsessed and I was expecting a car that was perfect, however this one was a 8.5/10. I couldn't get myself to spend my hard earned money on something that wouldn't make me 100% happy. Ended up going back to the drawing board and started the search for a clean 05-06 GTO. Few months later found a 06 Black w/Red interior with 7k miles and the rest was history....

My car history:
2001 Sentra SE 2.0 5MT (daily)
2006 Pontiac GTO 6MT
2003 Nissan Maxima GXE A4 (daily)
2006 Pontiac GTO 6MT
2014 Corvette 3LT Z51 7MT
2017 Altima 3.5SL (daily)

So how did I find my way back in a G? I was sharing the Altima with my wife for about a year after selling the Corvette. I needed a car of my own that was cheap, reliable, and somewhat fun. All of my fun cars were extremely clean examples bought from a private party but I knew this time around I would need to think outside the box due to a recent home purchase. I would occasionally look through the Insurance Auctions as some interesting cars may come through. Ended up coming across my 2013 G37S 6MT with 41k miles with minor rear end damage and the rest was history. Surprisingly, the car is very clean outside of a few dents that can be PDRed, peeling front grille, and some curbed wheels (this one really annoys me). I love modifying cars however I try to keep them as clean as possible with the OEM+ look. I don't think I will be doing any major engine modifications with this one because once you own a LS, everything else is 'meh'.

Current Modifications:

- Various LEDs & Carsmo ***** (added by previous owner)
- Midnight Grille
- Bellworks diff brace
- OEM rear spoiler (waiting to be installed)

Over the next few weeks I will be changing some of the fluids and slowly looking to pick up more parts. Not looking to go overboard with this one.

Modifications planned:

- OEM front lip
- RJM clutch pedal
- Window Tint
- Wheels/Tires + possibly a subtle drop
- Possibly intake/tanabe axle back

We will see how long I keep this one around, really have an itch for a 1LE Camaro but currently not in the position to pick up a loan for a 'fun car'. Picture taken after the first time I cleaned it up in the freezing cold, will update with current pictures once I clean it again.

Reminds me I need to take a look at my pads and see how much life is left. I decided to go with OEM filters not sure if I want to mess with oiled filters.

Not really interested in the MC, I will see if he is willing to sell the pedal alone.

Nice car, I’ve got the Tanabe axle back, K&N drop ins and silicone tubes and it’s good enough for me. I’ve still got my eye out for some Nismo wheels, 370z wheels, or 19” sport wheels.

I thought the same thing after I picked up my G. Then after looking at prices for each, I figured I am money ahead now after a few years of ownership with the oiled filters.

Nice pickup!

I hear you on the SS 1LE. I got a chance to drive a 2018 back in the summer and I miss the v8 torque. Hopefully they depreciate quick in the coming months. The VQ is fun, but just doesnt compare.

A few things have been added over the last year. Current modifications include:
- Various LEDs & Carsmo *****
- Midnight Grille
- Bellworks diff brace
- OEM rear spoiler
- 35% window tint
- Tanable Axle Back
- Z1 Intakes
- Hotchkis Swaybars

- CMAK kit / Redline MT trans/diff fluid
- 19" OEM Coupe wheels painted gunmetal wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports

Here are some pictures after a quick wash. I didn't get a chance to clean up the exhaust, whoops!

Really enjoying ownership thus far. I will spend some time this winter detailing and ceramic coating the car. Contemplating on doing a small drop and calling it a day.

Nothing just left over from the previous owner. The bumper needs to come off to remove if so I've been putting it off.
