Question New Owner - 2010 G37xS Maintenance Tips

New owner of a 2010 G37xS Sedan 7AT. Still has the original motor with about 270,000 KM's on it the previous owner was a foreman at Infiniti so the car was taken care of. With that being said and the G having high mileage i'm looking for preventative maintenance & tips to sustain the G and keep it running strong as it is now my daily.

In my short possession the vehicle has been fully detailed, new D2S bulbs, power steering has been flushed & refilled, Y-Pipe replaced due to wear & tear, Oil change (Amsoil) + New filter, summer tires swapped.

Plan to Change: All fluids remaining like Brake fluid, coolant, auto trans fluid, transmission, transfer case, and both front and rear differential fluid.

1 Ballast to be replaced just went out, AC amplifier as fuel gauge incorrect.

New spark plugs, ignition coil packs, ignition boot.

Engine, Fuel, and Cabin filters to be replaced.

Clean Throttle Body + MAF Sensor, New TB gasket

Idle + ECU relearn, Fuel system cleaning

Hoses/Belts?

For Fluids i'm uncertain some say stick with OEM fluids and some say Amsoil or suggest other brands. What's the best fluids for our car?

Looking to take care of this car & keep it for as long as I can. Went from a 6SPD RWD Turbo Coupe to my first 4DR Sedan and I love it. OCD when it comes to cars and maintenance. Fellow G owners please chime in and share your knowledge!

Welcome. Maybe add PCV valves to your list. One of mine was stuck when I replaced mine at 98,000 miles.

2nd PCV vales. Easy update that mysteriously does not show up on the scheduled maint.

Add upper and lower radiator hoses, radiator cap, thermostat and replace the plastic heater hose coupling on the passenger side. Maybe check the suspension as well? Struts, shocks, endlinks, rear diff bushing?

Z1 Motorsports is a great source of OEM parts that are lower cost compared to the dealer.

I personally wouldn't mess with the ignition coil packs unless they are damaged (will throw a code if they are). Similar for the fuel filter as I have never heard of anyone replacing it on their G37.

Another thing that goes out in time is the analog clock LED. I drove for a year with it out and never knew. Then I saw someone here talk about replacing it....I bought one from a salvage yard and the dash looks much better with the LED working.

Heater hose coupling

I definitely agree with heater house coupling, mine recently totally failed. It’s a plastic that was able to be broken into bits with my fingers after 120k miles.
