BCM Questions
BCM Questions
Hi everyone I have a 2011 Infiniti g37s 4 door sedan. I need to replace bcm I will be installing a used one. Can I do that ok and then reprogram and also my part number is 284b1 INC5C do I need the same number or what to do? Not sure what to do.
Matching p/n's is important but those numbers can change over the years for several reasons. The most important factor is that the donor part must come from the same type of car as yours. In other words, you have a sedan, therefore the donor part MUST be from a sedan.
That said, you will still need a QUALIFIED/ LICENSED/ REPUTABLE locksmith- at the least- who is able to come out and sync your key fobs (all of them) to the "new" replacement BCM else the car will not start.
Also, you will likely have to go to a tire shop to sync the TPMS sensors as well else that damn idiot light will flash/ stay on.

Before replacing BCM.. have you consider try to get it repaired? There is a shop that maybe able to repair, and if they are successful, u don't' need to reprogram your BCM module and keys. They said, if they can't repair they won't charge.
Maybe it's worth considering if you are going to spend $1k to get it fixed. If my memory serves me correct, you have to have the tool that dealership uses to reprogram BCM to your current setting (they will save configuration and then reupload to new BCM) then you also need to reprogram both keys
