I disconnected the battery and BCM to install the illuminated kickplates (had to tap into BCM itself) and now have an SES light. Can tapping into the BCM trigger a SES or is this coincidence?

edit: threw a p0603 for disconnecting the battery too many times. reset the ecu and now it's fine.
