Sunroof leak
Hey bro... search up g37 sunroof leak on YouTube there’s a couple videos of how to fix it... you have to take apart the trim on the a pillars and the side of the dash there’s a little draining tube that runs down the a pillar from the sunroof. Overtime the tube and the orifice at the end of the tube get clogged with debris... good luck

You mentioned water on the driver's side, but did you also check the passenger side? All of your current symptoms can be the result of a wet body control module (BCM) which is very well known for getting wet due to faulty sunroof drains/ cowl leaks, etc. The BCM is located on the passenger side behind the right foot well panel.
Pull up your passenger side carpet. If there is water, that's where you need to concentrate. You do not mention if your 2012 is a Coupe, sedan, or 'Vert, so keep in mind each version has its own potential leak sources in addition to the sunroof drains.
The IPDM/er self-test does not apply in this situation though I applaud you for researching and knowing how to execute the test.

Thank you so much for the advice😊 I got the carpet up and it did get wet so I finally got the panel off and I pretty sure found the bcm. If it got wet can I blow dry it or will that mess up more? And it's a 2012 I believe sedan I just bought in January it's my first infinity and I love it.. best car I've ever had
Some owners have had success removing the BCM and allowing it to dry for a day or so. This remedy is highly "hit or miss." There just aren't any guarantees... If it works you're good to go, if not a new module is likely needed.
Depending on your level of comfort and skill set, I would suggest you disconnect the battery and then disconnect all of the wiring connectors at the BCM. You will want to look for evidence of water, dirt, moisture, corrosion both on the connectors and on the pins in the module. From there you can decide if you want to try removing the BCM and proceeding further.
Being a sedan, your leaks are likely the result of a failed sunroof drain and/or a failing windshield cowl seal. While you have everything apart, I would strongly suggest you also check your cabin air filter for evidence of water. There are plenty of threads on this forum that can steer you in the right direction.

Thank you for the info and the pass side was wet as well. I think your on the rite track and really seems you know what is happening. We found the bcm on pass side under kick panel. Will try disconnecting batt and bcm will see what happens. Any other info would be awesome. Thank you again!
