Hey all, I recently bought Jsolo's car for those of you who know him. It's a 2012 G37S Sedan 6mt. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and a shout out to Jsolo for being an upstanding guy and for taking great care of his vehicle. I will carry the torch proudly, my friend. No ricey or ugly mods. Gonna keep it sleeper-ish and stylish and CLEAN.
I've already polished the hell out of the dirty Q300 mufflers because they were pretty dirty when I bought the car, which kinda surprises me knowing Jsolo's meticulous nature! I know some people have painted the cans black to be subtle, but I think that their shiny-ness accents the chrome on the rear deck and the trim on the door windows.
I've already installed aFe Pro Dry S filters and Z1 post-maf tubes to help it breathe a bit better and maybe increase mpg a little.
In the past, I've owned a supercharged s2000 and most recently an RSX Type-S that made about 220whp and had 5.06 gears in it. It was a blast to drive but it was just getting older and so am I, and I have a wifey now so I decided it's time that I need to upgrade to something newer and more "mature" but still kinda sporty and mean. Plus I've always been in love with the Nissan engines and their refined exhaust note.
Welcome. Oooo! Natural elevation changes. I wish I had them here on the Third Coast, I have to drive two hours west or north to get even low rolling hills.
Welcome! My meticulous care was limited to everything except the exhaust tips Just didn't have much time for fine detailing. I hope the car gets more use than it did here. Selling it was a difficult decision to make, one I sometimes still question. But, minimal use of either car didn't make much sense. Somehow the honda (accord) won as the one to keep as its the more practical car.
Hope it proves to be as reliable for you as it did for me. Any regrets on not getting the extended warranty transferred?
@slartibartfast In these parts, one needs to go a good 3 hours nw (NW part of IL) for some real elevation change and/or technical driving).
