Smile From a 2003 350Z 6MT to 2013 G37S Sedan 6MT

Howdy,

This week I bought my new G. I guess my account is tied to my MY350Z account that I've had since 2003.

The few pics I've taken:
MyG37 - HEUGE's Album: Z to G Sedan

I'll be looking for any advice for things I should be doing on the new G.

I will take my 350Z Track rims and test fit them over the akebono brakes in the next few weeks.

Any recommendations on the best clear bras and expected pricing?

Thanks,
Eugene

Welcome to this side of the forum, looks like a nice Z and your new G looks great. I'm a bit biased for black Gs
Too many ideas to list them all but for starters, I like the black trim rather than chrome, but that's a personal thing. I also like the painted GTR style taillights on a black G and black painted headlight bezels/shrouds, See a theme here, lol.

I've got some DIY threads on the trim & taillights, if you're interested shoot me a PM.
Also exhaust & suspension mods are always a welcome improvement on these cars. So much to choose, should be fun going through all your options.
Enjoy your new G and check out the media share sedan section for plenty of ideas

blnewt, thank you much. I saw some of the hacks here related to blacking-out the chrome with vinyl pieces, but like with the Z, I'm not sure that I'm up to tearing-apart the front and tails when there's a chance I could really screw it up.

The Clutch-fix does seem to be a worthwhile first hack. The engagement point is definitely tougher to manage than with the Z.

The wheels look like they might fit alright with a bit of an improvement in stance if the wheels can clear the Akebono brakes.
STOCK
Front 18x7.5 +45
Rear 18x8.5 +50

TRACK Ray’s Forged 2003 350Z
Front 18X8 +30 mm
Rear 18x8.5 +33 mm
Rays weight about 18.2 & 18.6 lbs

I saw the discussions on STi-R lenses. Do they work much better than stock? 2013 I thought had larger lenses.

I'm not sure about the 2013 lenses, I haven't heard there was a lens change but could've missed the memo. The STiR lenses are 3", the coupes have smaller 2.5" TSX-r lenses.
As far as the tails, they were simple IMO, time consuming but not hard. The headlights were more of a PITA, removing the bumper then baking the lights to separate the cover, then removing all the parts to paint, then baking them together again. The tails, just 5 minutes to remove, and then just sanding and painting for the most part w/ some finish buffing. Here's a couple DIY links if you haven't seen them.

At least you've got the Z wheels on hand to see if they'll clear, those S calipers are tough to clear for a lot of wheels.
Have fun!
