New Owner 2011 G37x Sedan

Hello Everyone,

I've been a proud owner of a G37x for about a year now. I did not realize this car is classified as a sports car; found that out at the DMV with higher fees. I can tell you the first time i stepped on the gas of this beast, is a memory I'll never forget! So much power and pull, my weak legs had to get used to this.

First thing I bought for car was some new shoes 20" Got a sweet deal from my boss for this car and it has high miles, 100k. Any thoughts or experience I should know when this car hits the 100k mark?

Maintenance has been kept up, but not for the 100k interval. Major changes I've done so for is drain/filled new coolant, new pads and rotors. I will be changing spark plugs today; Denso Iridium Long-life P/N 3457.

Future project includes full exhaust system and air intake upgrade. Probably go with changing the air filtration first. Any recommendations on some good ones from experience? I'm leaning towards K&N, but also considering the cold air intake from Takeda stage 2. I've heard mixed reviews.

Welcome to the site, glad you found us. Have you considered a mild suspension drop?

Yes, some coil overs for sure. The new wheels makes the car seem raised.

Welcome. Youtube is your friend when looking for stuff. There's a lot out there when considering different brands of exhaust/intakes. A bunch of "how to" stuff as well and this site is an amazing reference. I have the 2010 G37x sedan, same color as yours. Waiting for my tires to need changing before I upgrade the wheels though.

I joined this forum because it kept coming up in the search queries. Thought I'd give it a try and read some DIY threads before joining. Since I got the information on how to do the coolant drain/fill with ease on this website, it's only right I became a member! I'd like to film all the work I do, but I don't have a good camera setup and I'm always rushed by the wife and kids to enjoy other parts of the day.

Forgot to mention that I also changed the transfer case fluid and front differential fluid. The front was a pain to get to and in the process I broke off the oil switch sender. I read found that the car is okay to run for now and I will be making that fix soon. If there's a thread on the oil switch sender, please point me in the direction. If not, I'll try to take pictures. My only concern is I'll be on my back and it seems difficult to access it.
