Proud New Owner of a 2011 G37 Sedan, 6MT!

Just finished the initial break-in process, so I think now is the proper time for me to make my official introduction

My '05 was totaled in November and it will be missed, but alas the G37 will be a new chapter. So far this is what I've done to it:

@15 miles:
installed clearbra paint protection via premier protective films international
installed premiere protective films diamond cut IR 20% tint

@490 miles:
installed Stillen Catback Exhaust - awesome sound, fitment, and look
replaced engine oil & filter with nissan ester oil and new oem filter - just for break-in
Installed towing package

@1200 miles:
Replaced engine oil & filter with Amsoil SSO - couldn't find any oil analysis reports with SSO & VQ37HR so I'm intent on posting one).
Replaced manual transmission oil with Redline MT-85; finally, a product ideal for our transmissions and it works perfectly, I think even better than the OEM fluid.
Replaced rear differential oil with Amsoil SVG.

That's all for now, I'll post some photos when the weather gets better.

There's a lot of evidence that suggests changing out the tranny/diff oils after initial break-in yields the best performance over the lifetime of those components. The initial wear metals tend to stay around until you change out that initial fill, whereas the majority of the wear happens within the first few hundred miles of driving. Besides, I wanted to upgrade to synthetic lubricants for improved fuel economy and performance

It's a hitch with wiring. Can be used to tow something small like an extra set of wheels/tires for use at the track or a lightweight trailer like the yakima rack & roll:

My main use is going to be for my Raxter bike rack like I had on my previous g35, but I am sure I will find other uses.

good to see another 6MT represented! i just bought some Amsoil SVG and manual tranny fluid for my upcoming 2yr maintenance work. looking forward to the improved shifting that i've heard Amsoil will provide.

Any pix of your hitch set up? Curious if you went with a Curt hitch. Congrats on the 6MT!

Although the Amsoil MTG fluid will work fine for your transmission, it is not ideal. The specs indicate that the preferred fluid is a rare viscosity 75w85, it also says that 75w90 may be used. However, in my experience, the shift quality goes down significantly when the 90wt oils are used, whether they are from amsoil, redline, royal purple, or whichever else. If you are looking for a high quality Nissan MTF replacement, I would suggest going with the Redline MT-85 GL4. It has been designed specifically with our transmissions in mind and I did not notice a decrease in shift quality after switching over to it. If anything, the shift quality is actually better.

I should be able to get the redline MT-85 at wholesale and make it available to those interested.

Yes, I did actually go with the Curt hitch. I just went out and snapped some quick photos:

I just had my 35/20 tint put on today. ARK exhaust is in the mail. Springs and front lip are for this spring.

What color interior do you have? I've never seen stone interior with 6mt. But my personal favorite is MW on Graphite.
