Coolant gauge sensor stuck?

hi, I am a new owner of an 2013 Infiniti g37x, and I noticed that my coolant gauge is stuck on the bottom half, but it’s not all the way down to the C mark. Anyone have an idea of why this could be?

Did you check the coolant level in the radiator and overflow tank with the engine cold?

Did you have the vehicle inspected by an Infiniti dealer prior to purchase?
Did you receive prior service records of this vehicle?
Mileage?

If the gauge never moves then it will need to be repaired, that alone could get expensive. You could also install an aftermarket gauge that would provide a more accurate temp reading for quite a bit less $$. The questions that Telcoman asked are good to know

Welcome to the site btw!

i bought it at a Hyundai dealership. I read the paper inside the car and they marked everything as good. My coolant is at the max line mark, and I’m at 30,500 miles. Thank you guys for your help. 🙂

I would return to the Hyundai dealer and see if they can get it repaired, especially since they released it to you as "everything in working order".
