Hello all new to this forum. Just bought my wife a 2013 G37 sedan. There is a little compartment to the left if the steering wheel about knee high. I push on the door and can insert about length of index finger and light flashes and I hear a beep. What the heck is that for?

 

You place the fob in there when its battery gets low and the car can't sense it in your pocket or purse so you can start the car

The car will warn you when the fob battery gets low.

 

Really? I appreciate the answer it was killing trying to find out what the deal was.

Thx all. I have the moonlightbwhite looking at some wheels thinking if black out wheels in white body. Also where do I get the blackout headlight lenses, without breaking the bank?

 

The headlights need to be opened and the bezels/shrouds painted, it's a labor intensive job, there a few shops that do this or you can DIY (I DIY'd mine), expect to pay upwards of $500 for a shop to do them. Tinting just the headlight covers isn't recommended as it severely reduces output.

Black wheels on a white G look nice, also gunmetal, bronze, even maroon wheels can look nice depending on other trim/accents on your G.

 

Bummer that's a little to much $ for the lights for me. Instill might go with the black rims or possible old school chrome look. Thx everyone for the info.
