Owned a 2005 G35 Coupe several years ago and regretted selling it ever since. Been busy with my business and my employee has started taking his work truck (my personal during off hours) home so I was left without a vehicle to get around it. So off to the races I went. I was SOOOO close to pulling the trigger on a new red 400s but because of how little I drive for personal (under 5000/yr) I figured it'd be a waste of money having it sit there. So yesterday I came home with what I think a smoking deal on a 2012 G37 Coupe Journey 7AT. It has only 27K miles on it, tech package and sunroof and looks like the interior was never sat in. The bolstering on the seats look like showroom new and the aluminum trim is not scratched anywhere. I did elect to get the bumper to bumper 6/60000 warranty as well.
So all I really want to do to this thing is the following:
1) Remove badging except for Fuji
2) Tint the windows. Was thinking 15% all the way around (0 tint right now). Ceramic tint?
3) Sound system. Something tasteful and not outrageous. Keep the bose because to me it sounds great for "stock". I gave my wife my lacrosse and that had the 2 JL microsub+ 8"s. Nice boom in a small package. Any suggestions there? I want to maximize trunk space but if I could fit in a W6 or W7 that would be great. Would still like access to the spare tire.
4) Maybe wheels, but I do like how the car rides with the standard ones now.
5) Footwell lighting?
Any other tasteful ideas? I'd like to keep the look because I like it. I don't plan to make it look different with body kits or anything like that.
