I'm JP. I live in Salt Lake City, UT. Picked up my 2010 G37x in August with 756XX on the clock. It was a California rental and I got it for a pretty sweet deal.
So far I have done tint, switched to AMSOIL, and got custom exhaust (2.5" right off the cat flanges into an X pipe, thru two 24" resonators, exiting thru 2 GReddy Revolution RS mufflers).
I have so many plans for this car. First step is going to be suspension. I can't slam it because snow. Probably gonna go with BC coilovers to allow for a mild drop (1-1.5" max).
Next will be 19x9 or 19x9.5 wheels and tires, but I don't know what offset I should get. I'm looking for the wheels/tires to be as close to flush with the body as possible.
After that, Takeda intake, then bigger brakes. Still undecided on brakes though.

Anyway, here are some photos. Enjoy!
Welcome to the forums, nice VR sedan! You're obligated to post an exhaust clip, sounds like a nice setup you've got there.
Hi JP, welcome to the site, and congrats on a nice G, never get tired of pics of red Gs ****Sounds like a nice exhaust you put together and some good plans ahead. Here's a large thread on wheel ideas, I'm running 9.5 +38 on 245s and the wheels are flush but could run a bit wider on the tires. Here's a big thread to go through and if you have a specific wheel idea or want some, shoot me a PM.*Brad https://www.myg37.com/forums/brakes-...post-here.html
Haha thanks! I appreciate the info and the link to that thread blnewt. It's been really helpful so far. I never even thought about getting the 19" coupe wheels but that definitely seems like a viable and inexpensive option!
I'll get to posting an exhaust clip soon. Funny story, that...
I ended up getting the exhaust done because shortly after purchasing the car and putting it on a lift, I noticed that my left side Y Pipe was badly crimped, so I went with 2.5" pipe to X pipe, resonator delete, then necked down to stock muffler. Sounded...uhh...'awful' would be too generous of a word. It was rasp city. "Hornets nest, meet Civic with no muffler" bad.
Convinced my wife to let me get new mufflers. And everyone and their dog in UT has a Subaru with a giant muffler (and they pay no less than $125/month for insurance...haha) so I figured, why not? I'll fit right in! Got them installed and that ended up being...loud. Thunderously so. It shook the kitchen floor when I started it in the mornings and rattled the appliances. It gave me headaches when I would drive it more than 10-15 minutes at a time, and wifey was very not amused.
So, ended up going with two MONSTROUS 24" resonators and now it is MUCH more liveable inside, and it'll let the neighbors know when you step on the gas.
I don't know that I've ever seen an X sedan (or coupe for that matter) with the "AWD" badge in the upper left on the trunk. I'm guessing this has something to do with it being a former rental ??? Anywho... Nice VR, & Welcome to the forum!
