New G37xS owner!!

Hey guys I recently purchased a 2012 G37xS from a dealership. Its at 109k km (67k miles). I was thinking about changing all the fluids to start new, do you guys think its necessary? As a new owner I just want to know what little mods I can get.

I want to get wheel locks but Idk what size the lug nuts are.

I'm also tinting at 15%.

Anyone know if cold air intakes are good? I heard the engine can't handle that much air.

HID headlights? Led fog light conversion?

Any more ideas?

I appreciate everyone's opinions! Thanks!

Welcome to the site, wouldn't hurt to refresh the fluids if you don't have reliable service records. If it was dealer serviced they should be able to find it w/ a run of the VIN#.

As far as the locking lug nuts, I'd go w/ the Infiniti OEM locks, those wheels require a mag-style nut, it has a flat seat w/ a washer so I'm not sure of a aftermarket lock that works well. The studs are 12x1.25 FWIW.
Enjoy that new ride!

Welcome on board and congrats on your purchase - great looking ride! A lot of good info here regarding mods in case you are thinking of doing any. Check out some of the garages and you may get some ideas. Good luck with all your plans and keep us posted!

Hello and welcome well to answer some of your questions yes it's good to check the fluids, brake fluid, power steering fluid, oil and air filter to see how they are.

Cold air intake is good and you want have any issues a very popular one is takeda cold air intake and it's basically plug and play and sits behind the radiator.

For the headlight I suggest Morimoto xb35 d2s hid bulbs and they are couple temperatures to choose from I went with 6500 k cool white with a hint of blue. Look up theretrofitsource.com and find them for 50.00.

For the fog lights I went with diode dynamics xlm2 which are great, Morimoto has a great fog light replacement assembly that are led at the retrofitsource if you feel like swapping them out

Wait, doesnt the xS already come with HID or Xenon or whatever?

When i turn on my car, my headlights flicker for a second and then come on bright white.

Takeda is SUPER expensive. If I can get a short ram intake, will it improve sound? will I lose or gain preformance?

The money I'll spend are for exhaust, rims & spacers and debating about coilovers for g37x. I live in canada and im not sure if coilovers can last in these harsh winters.

the stock air boxes will flow more air than the engine can handle, and the filters are ridiculously easy to replace.

CAI = expensive, PITA filter cleaning
short ram = suck in hot engine bay air

minimal gains, if any, on intakes. if you want whooshing noises and underhood bling, go for it.

i saved my money and added some reuseable R2C dry drop-in panel filters and called it a day.

I got a used set of r2cs (more than drop-in filters, but overall not that expensive) - great sound, but as previously mentioned, cleaning will be a bit of a pain as there is no space to easily remove the filters alone - need to undo the whole pipes.
