I've been watching the used G market for a while now. I've been saving up for a down payment hoping to snag a decent xs coupe. I've noticed that a large portion of what is left out there (2012's & 2013's) come from Jersey and New York and areas that got slammed by hurricane Sandy. Could these be the flood cars that I've heard about? They're all over the country. It's hard to find a car from anywhere else in this trim level. I haven't looked at one yet. Is there a dead giveaway that they haven't been able to cover yet? I've watched a bunch of vids and searched here too. Seems like even with all the info out there they're still able to unload these turds on folks. Opinions please and thanks.

 

my first test drive of a 33k mile G37x almost turned me off to them completely - it had very laggy acceleration (felt more like 200hp), the interior had a lot of scratches, and the tops of the struts were all rusted. i was thinking, "this car is only 3 years old!" in comparison, my 7 year old car looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

then i drove my CPO xS at a dealer, and i was sold.

drive them, look under the hood, lift up carpets/trunk mats, look underneath, etc.

 

Glad to hear you got a good one. The herd is thinning out for 2012's and up coming off lease with low miles.
