So I'm not sure this is the case, but I'm guessing that when I edit my last post, it doesn't actually "update" the thread, so much as just updating the last post...which means people aren't probably going to see the update, right? So if adding relevant data, I should just post a new comment in my thread? Eh, I dunno. I'll google that in a bit. Either way...

I guess the "ashy" looking stuff is on the rubber door seal?? I dunno. I think I can just paint it. See pictures below.

It looks like it's wax that wasn't fully removed, and this can be tough to get off if it's been baked on for awhile. Might try a toothbrush in a small area w/ some mild degreaser and see if it takes it off

Oh interesting. Never even thought about that. It was definitely there before I got it detailed last month, so I guess maybe the dealership did it? Hmmm, ok, no biggie. I just will want to get it taken care of at some point down the line.
